Do You need a Roof Inspection?

Are you thinking about selling your home or commercial building or buying one? Knowing the condition of a home or business' roofing system can make a huge difference in the decisions you make regarding buying or selling.

Maybe you've had your home or business for a while and haven't really thought about your roof. You assume nothing is wrong, but you don't know for sure.

A storm has come through and you don't see any obvious signs of damage, but homes or businesses near yours have experienced wind or hail damage.

If you don't have a regular maintenance agreement for your roof, it's very hard to tell from the ground the condition of all of the elements of your roofing system. That's where we come in. Our expert technicians will thoroughly examine your roof and develop a list of items needing attention. These can range from minor maintenance and repairs to recommending that your roof needs to be replaced. In the case of storm damage, you have a limited amount of time to file a claim with your insurance company, so it's critical that you find out as soon as possible if your roof's integrity has been impacted by the storm.

Signs of Water Damage

Water damage can be caused by clogged gutters, damaged flashing or caulk, or missing or damaged shingles. Corners, edges, and areas where water is likely to flow are especially at risk for water damage.

Mold or Algae Growth

Mold growth in certain areas can indicate water damage or shingle deterioration. Mold and algae, even if they are not a sign of existing damage, can reduce the lifespan of your roof.

Weather Worn or Damaged Caulk & Mortar

Caulk and sealants do not last forever. They are subject to UV, water, and wind damage and regular upkeep is needed to ensure they are performing as expected. During a roof inspection, our technicians are able to determine if the caulking needs to be replaced/repaired.
